AIBU to give my crappy window cleaner the sack?

For the last year I have been unable to pluck up the courage to get rid of my overly friendly, overly chatty window cleaner. He only cleans the front windows and charges £6 every 2 months.

Our back gate is broken and I can't leave it open for him to do the back. He mentioned climbing over which I explicitly told him not to do. He then told me he ended up climbing into the neighbour's garden and then under the fence to do my back windows Envy he's even asked me to get the gate fixed and give him a key for it..!!

I know he's not charging a lot but my windows end up worse than before. He uses a dry rag on the end of a pole to do the upstairs and sort of swishes it about aimlessly.

How can I politely tell him that I don't want him anywhere near my windows anymore?! I do have his phone number so it doesn't need to be face to face...

I had to tell our window cleaners not to come any more due to saving a bit of money. (It was the truth). It was fine.

A rag on a pole? Is he an actual window cleaner?

Mine has now put it up to £5 every fortnight, might end up getting rid of him because the price keeps going up.
