Missed last 3 nights out as Dh or dd was ill. Supposed to be going out tonight but ds who had a cough yest, is now snotty and has fever could leave him with Dh but worried as ds has history of bronchitis.
I've missed all my Xmas nights out this year hope my friends understand if I cancel again!

We all need friends in this life. Go on your night out.

🙄 My DH is perfectly capable of looking after DD and did so wonderfully when I was in hospital for a month.

BUT if she's sick with a vomiting bug or she's wheezy and really poorly, of course I want to be there looking after her. Not because I render DH incapable, just because I wouldn't enjoy being out drinking knowing she was poorly at home.

And yes, she does like having me around when I'm poorly. I still want my mum when I'm poorly and I'm 30!

It's not about sexism, not about my husband being incapable, purely about my wanting to be around if my daughter is sick.

Will be worth it long term OP when your kids are out clubbing and you still have friends of your own age to spend time with Grin
