and I didn't even think about it. I just naturally had all those things in my kitchen.....

Oh my god, I'm a hipster aren't I?

Help

I have a feeling that hipsters have probably moved on from avocado. I agree that the seaweed bread is probably the most incriminating part of your breakfast - I suspect we're going to see seaweed cropping up a lot in 2018.

What sort of a cap does your husband wear?

hooochycoo · 14/12/2017 10:09

I only buy avocados as a treat every now and again. The pink rock salt was a present. I don't know if it tastes any different, but it looks nice.

I do have chia seeds, but i don't have spirulina. I don't drink kale smoothies, but I know people who do. I do have tweed items in my house and I do ride an unusual bike.

I've observed enormous amounts of pink salt at TK Maxx for about a year now. I think it's over.

HuskyMcClusky · 14/12/2017 10:09

The hipsters of 2017 are all about the kombucha, açai bowls, and cold-drip coffee.

MuseumOfCurry · 14/12/2017 10:09

I do ride an unusual bike.

Danger zone

hooochycoo · 14/12/2017 10:10

museum of curry.......

a ...........

tweed one.....

(and i bought it for him)

OP posts:
hooochycoo · 14/12/2017 10:12

I have never heard of kombucha, açai bowls, and cold-drip coffee

So it's even worse. Not only am I a hipster, but I'm an unfashionable one

Get yourself to some undiscovered, grimy pocket of S.E. London STAT. That is, if you don't already live there.

hooochycoo · 14/12/2017 10:16

I think i might need to get this thread deleted

Viviennemary · 14/12/2017 10:20

That is impressive. I've never even heard of pink rock salt. I love avocado and eggs on sourdough. Not sure about the seaweed though. I've only had a cup of tea so far.

tihsho · 14/12/2017 10:21

Oh dear OP. I thought it sounded ok and maybe you were just an unusually trendy bread eater. But the mention of husbands tweed cap AND your unusual bike. I think the ship has sailed. And by that, I mean the hipster ship which you are clearly on as you are indeed a hipster. I'm so sorry.

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 14/12/2017 10:21

you need to go into a hipster protection programme.... change your name and hide all evidence

whiskyowl · 14/12/2017 10:22

You are disturbing the energies of the very universe, OP. You need to have the opposite sandwich, STAT, in order to rebalance things! What about fish fingers in a floury white roll with ketcup?

BelleandBeast · 14/12/2017 10:24

Is your name Janet?

ColinsVeryJolly · 14/12/2017 10:26

Chilli sauce and rock salt are pretty normal things to have kicking around, so are eggs and avocado!

I've never owned or knowingly eaten avocado or rock salt in my life Xmas Shock

At least I've got no chance of being mistaken for a hipster.

BadTasteFlump · 14/12/2017 10:27

Tell me more about the seaweed sourdough - sounds delish!

questionaboutmum · 14/12/2017 10:28

I get 4 avocados for £1.85 from Sainsburys. They are quite small but often perfect.

(Sorry, I know this is not the point of the thread).

BadTasteFlump · 14/12/2017 10:29

BTW salt tastes the same whatever the colour - a chef confirmed that for me. Pink rock salt just looks pretty in the bottle - if you're the type to display your bottles....

LemonShark · 14/12/2017 10:29

ColinsVeryJolly You should definitely try avocado! It's lovely. You've never had guacamole?

Maudlinmaud · 14/12/2017 10:32

Only if it's deconstructed eggs, avocado, seaweed sourdough with chilli sauce and pink rocksalt. Each component must be served in individual shot glasses, with the sourdough placed delicately on top.

questionaboutmum · 14/12/2017 10:32

I love avocados with a bit of lime juice, and salt and pepper. I made a great guacamole recently with loads of chilli and coriander too.

But if I eat them when they are not the right sort of ripeness I feel a wave of nausea and headache. Anyone else? They have to be just right.

Sidge · 14/12/2017 10:34

Bloody hell I am failing spectacularly on so many levels.

I just had Weetabix for breakfast. Sad

MissMoneyPlant · 14/12/2017 10:34

Fauztatoes Is your kitchen table reclaimed?!

Shock

Mine is! Does it still count if you fished the table out of a skip and repainted it yourself? Or do you have to buy it off the peson who did, at a cost of £3000?

LemonShark · 14/12/2017 10:35

My favourite way to eat avocado is mashed up with ground almonds, then spread on toast and drizzled with maple syrup. A fucking revelation.

therealposieparker · 14/12/2017 10:36

Were you wearing an outfit like Mrs Brown in Paddington?
