WIBU to bawl my eyes out at a live performance of The Snowman?

I have tickets to see The Snowman with a live performance of 'Walking in the Air'. Every year I watch it on the TV and every year I bawl my eyes out. The film is so sad (though so hopeful in many ways) and the music is beautiful... I just can't help it.

Do you think I will be alone in my sobbing, look unhinged and cause a disturbance? Smile

I can't understand how people think it's sad, it's a snowman that melts - but then I never cried when Bambi died either.

I have the hardest heart, but the snowman makes even me cry.

Sanshin- it was his friend!

I have been to a live performance a couple of times - I don't always cry at the tv, but find live music can pull at my heart more and I just leak like a sieve!! (I do the same at choral carol concerts - but still go to at least 1 every Christmas!).

There will probably be others crying as well. Just bring tissues with you, and try to do it quietly rather than sobbing, and you will be fine.

Sanshin you are hard as nails Xmas Sad

I wouldn’t want to attend a live performance as I wouldn’t be able to retain my dignity. And what about the snow dog, that’s even worse!!

Sanshin · 13/12/2017 12:34

I think I lack emotion when it comes to performance stuff. Saying that though I did cry during Ricky Gervais' Derek when the dog died - his acting was amazing.

I'll take sunglasses Xmas Wink

I cry every time I hear walking in the air. I’ve welled up just reading this post. I don’t know why it’s this in particular that gets me every time, I’m normally not this soft!
