Have been having a bit of a low week so far and looking for some inspiration before I drag myself to the shops...

So, what are you having?

OP posts:
LakieLady · 12/12/2017 18:04

Chicken risotto, made with the last of the roast chicken we had on Sunday. Then the carcass will be going in the stock pot for soup for tomorrow's dinner.

The (free-range) chook was less than a fiver in Aldi, so I'm really chuffed at getting 4 meals out of it.

dontbesillyhenry · 12/12/2017 18:07

Faggots black pudding mash and veg

All this food puts me to shame. I've just ordered a dominoes because I've got the mother of all colds and any inspiration or creativity has died along with sleep and my sense of smell. Wahhhh.

yorkshireyummymummy · 12/12/2017 18:19

Got to say, it really makes me feel happy to see so many delicious meals that are being conjured up in our kitchens. And they say British women can't cook and that we are all fat!!
We are having pork escalopes which I make into schnitzels and serve with spaghetti, homemade Tomato sauce and green beans and peas! Yum yum. Better go and do it before dd dies of hunger while I sit happily in mumsnet land!!

londonmummy1966 · 12/12/2017 18:29

Fish bake - sweated leeks and mushrooms with a bit of smoked haddock topped with a ready made cauliflower cheese that I've blitzed in the food processor as I didn't realise I'd run out of spuds until I'd got back from the shops and it was too cold to go out again.
