To think food is always bad for the work Christmas meal?

Always a set menu (understandably) but the food is always bad and comes out late.

I’ve not been to one place where the food was excellent.

Honestly one table last night had finished their mains before ours were even sent out.

Ours was fab. We went to Chez Jules and the food was great, on time and staff were friendly.

Once we went to a funny little French restaurant and I had lamb shank slow cooked in ratatouille. It had looked weird on the (pre order) menu so only a few of us had chosen it, but it was hands down the best food I've ever eaten in a restaurant ever.

But the usual turkey or goats cheese tart bollocks can fuck off.

I usually go for the veggie option after one dry, tasteless turkey dinner too many. This isn't foolproof though, I've also had a very grim burnt pie.
