Anyone remember the Flexi-time CF?

Thought I'd heard the last of her but unfortunately not. Colleague who left her job due to cheeky fuckery with her flexi-time for those of you who missed the first instalment.

I'm moving between fuming, embarrassed and incredulous at the moment. I've also laughed but I think that's shock more than anything Smile
DH and I were out for the afternoon at a Christmas market. Had a lovely day and stopped at an coffee shop with tables outside before coming home.
We'd been there about 10 minutes when I noticed a group of ladies in their 60's a few tables away and one of them was staring straight at me. I didn't recognise her and carried on with chatting with DH. I noticed her again when all her friends started turning round to have a look. I didn't know any of them.
I'm starting to think she may be someone I'd been in contact with in a work capacity as she is looking quite angry. As I said in the original thread I work with children/families and I have been approached by people previously who have been angry and upset. Only a couple of times though.
I continue to ignore it and we're getting ready to leave. DH goes inside to pay and use the loo and the minute he does this lady gets up and comes over, with her takeaway coffee cup in her hand. I can tell by her face it's not going to be a pleasant chat.
She asks if I'm pleased with myself and I say "I'm sorry, I don't know who you are". She says she's FTCF's mother and who do I think I am to refuse her daughter a reference! Do I realise I've ruined her career and I should be ashamed of myself. Everyone is looking now and I don't want to get into it so I just say she really doesn't have all the information.
She then takes the lid off her coffee and empties it into my fucking handbag on the table and walks off!!!!
I'm absolutely gobsmacked Shock
I'm home now and want to call FTCF and give her a mouthful but DH is trying to talk me out of it.
Maybe I should just have a large G&T Gin

Greatest. Thread. Ever. Been reading out the best bits (and there are many) to DH. Our personal favourites are requesting 25p off at Costa for a coffee-to-go in a recyclable handbag, and of course CFCF = Coffee Flinger Cheeky Fucker. Just brilliant!

DH adds his own comment: “I’m only flinging coffee til the coffee flinger comes”.

about you are an absolute Star. What a family of CF nutcases!

I can answer your question About, as a parent of an autistic child who is classed as a service user, I would be absolutely pi**sed off if this was my sons SW/ care manager. Saying that it would explain why we haven't heard from his SW in over 18 months..... thankfully my ds is flourishing now. Not that they would know that....

I am so glad that you were able to give the gentle nudge that management needed by asking for personnel to go over the rules of flexitime with you and your colleagues. You could have been 'vindictive' and basically ran a campaign against your colleague, encouraging other colleagues to submit complaints. You would have been justified to do so! Instead, you gave your colleague an opportunity to realise that her behaviour at work was wrong! She could have quietly changed her behaviour and saved her position in the process. Instead, she chose to fight what were already very fair rules, claiming the rules were victimising her! In the process, she drew so much attention to herself and the obvious pi** she had been taking, forcing your employer into ordering an audit! Only then did she show any understanding that her actions were wrong, as she quickly handed her notice in!

The most disturbing thing about FTCF's behaviour, alongside her utterly selfish behaviour, was the complete lack of concern for the vulnerable service users (children) who were meant to be under her care.

OnTheRise · 13/12/2017 09:06

OP, I don't think you sound vindictive at all. I think you're great. I hate it when people take advantage of their employers in the way your ex-colleague did: it's theft, and it puts an unfair burden on their colleagues, which has a huge effect on everyone's productivity.

You did good.

Anyone remember the Flexi-time CF?
SchadenfreudePersonified · 13/12/2017 11:34

Perfect, Anatidae my little duckling!

I wonder if Vanka will buy one for Vango for Christmas? Are those delightful handbags in the Kleeneze catalogue? Or the Innovations catalogue (he has already chosen her a She-Wee for long romantic troika journeys across the steppes and is having it tastefully inscribed with their initials and the legend :Now we can 'go' anywhere together")

ReanimatedSGB · 13/12/2017 11:35

Oh yay! Now that the CF hags have been banished, everyone can just enjoy the rest of the thread.

Anatidae · 13/12/2017 11:40
