Or sipping a drink and then putting that in baby's mouth.

It's not just the germs that gross me out but the actual action of it.

I had an abandoned kitten once, very ill with cat flu. I chewed up chicken for him to eat.

doesnt gross me out at all. Im sure i did those things here and there when they were tiny.

OMG I nearly barfed when I was watching a programme about penguins,and how they feed their chicks with regurgitated fish that they've caught and swallowed. (not envy!). This makes me think of that.
