Boss not closing toilet door

Am I being unreasonable to be really annoyed that my "boss" never fully closes/locks the door when going to the toilet. I'm an early 20s female, he is a middle aged man who should have learnt toilet etiquette by now.

We share a toilet, there aren't many of us that use this one, and I only mainly use tap in there to refill my cup, which is relatively often as I like to keep hydrated, and it is the only one on the floor in the building. But a few times now I have had the displeasure of walking in on him mid-pee. He finds it hilarious, and I always express that I clearly do not find it even remotely funny. By the way, the toilet in question is a gender-neutral, disabled toilet.

He is a massive twat very ignorant generally but for me this just crosses the line. What would you do? He is very unapproachable.

Eugh , what a pathetic little creep. Does he ever have men walk in on him, or is the set up so that it's likely only to be you or female staff?

You need to report this if you can, if not, can you call him out on it publicly? Be careful never to be alone with him, it's not unheard of for this sort of behaviour to escalate.

RhiannonOHara
drinking tap water from a shared bathroom at work is grim.

I don't get this.

What is grim about it? And would it be less grim if it were not a shared bathroom? Or not at work? What parts exactly are so grim?

I don't normally worry about all this extra anti-bac super clean nonsense but there are lots of reasons why you shouldn't drink from toilet taps.

  • people have dirty hands when they touch the tap to turn it on.
  • people flush the toilet without the lid down so particles fly about and land on everything.
  • The water most likely isn't from the mains and there could be dead pigeons in the tank.
  • does anyone really need any more reasons?

* - The water most likely isn't from the mains and there could be dead pigeons in the tank.*

It is most likely that this is not the case in most modern workplaces.

The tank may well be fine, but I think I'd avoid filling my glass several times a day from the sink in a public loo...just a personal preference Grin
