AIBU to still not understand 2yr old funding?

I've spoken to nursery, I've spoken to local council...I still don't totally get it, I dont know how I'm overcomplicating this.

We're eligible for our 2 year old to get free funding for a nursery place.

Q - What happens if/when I return to well-paid work? Does the funding stop? Or now it's awarded its in place for the rest of the year?
(Aibu to still not know this!)
Thanks in advance.

I think the income threshold is around 16k but don't quote me.
I think you would continue to get funding for the term if you started a job with a higher income but not for the rest of the year.

You'll keep the place/funding until your child gets 3 year funding, regardless of whether your circumstances change.
