Always 200,000 haven't lost their homes, that's the number who have been evacuated due to the fires. Many are already being let back in.

But as far as the 'spirit' of your question; Trump doesn't give a rat's ass about California because we're a blue state, solidly Democrat and our electoral votes went for Hillary by a landslide.

AcrossthePond55 thanks for that clarification about the pp affected by the fire, real facts seem very hard to come by these days! Watching from the UK, it looks utterly horrific and in normal times, a President would be doing everything in his power to help these people, but this soulless imbecile hasn't even mentioned it.

I fucking despair

I really hope, if we survive this, that something is put in place to ever stop such a vile individual as Trump ever being able to hold such a huge position of power ever again. It's really shown a dark and quite frankly dangerous and immoral side of America to come to the fore. I follow a lot of great pp on Twitter who I know are as disgusted and despairing about Trump as we are, so obviously this isn't about all Americans but my god, it's done such harm to America's standing in the world.

( much like Brexit has done to the UK )

People talking about how the photos are cropped/shot so they don't show the top tier (emptier). And something about the curtains coming down to partition off the unused seating.

Just a rant, but if we do all survive this dark time, I do hope that there is a movement, much like that for clean air, clean eating etc, for 'clean politicians ', this has just shown how badly things can go wrong when someone like Trump is voted in. Sadly I think it may have gone too far and the 1% are in power how. What does give me hope though, is the power of social media, and how it can bypass media outlets like the Daily Mail and how many more young pp are influenced by that. And of course how much their living standards are being affected and so they may be much more vocal about wanting change

Or I may just be an old idealistic socialist....

Apparently POTUS is correct on this one. The original tweeter has apologised - see tweet below - but that doesn’t stop POTUS calling for his head.

.@daveweigel of the Washington Post just admitted that his picture was a FAKE (fraud?) showing an almost empty arena last night for my speech in Pensacola when, in fact, he knew the arena was packed (as shown also on T.V.). FAKE NEWS, he should be fired.

Neither democracies nor dictatorships last forever. Sadly, some dictatorships last a loooooong time. And very few end peacefully.
If the US really turns, I fear for the rest of us.

I'm just amazed and shocked that Trump can waste so much time and brain power on a petty argument about crowd size. Again. What on earth is the matter with him. Who bloody cares about such a trivial matter, I would've thought he should be concentrating on Presidenting (I know there's not such a word but hey ho) but we're talking about narcisstic Trump aren't we...

I was shocked at this Across. Is it really like this in the US... can the POTUS literally ignore a state coping with a disaster because it isn't Republican? I'm just thinking over here with flooding. There's been floods in Yorkshire, there's been floods in Somerset and if whoever is the PM at the time doesn't respond in say 24 hours, he or she is shamed for not responding quickly enough . I appreciate we're a tiny country but I'm just amazed that the POTUS can literally ignore a state because of it's political leanings.
