I think they look creepy and not very attractive at all. Never seen the point in them ? Just my opinion but wondered what everyone else thought of them ??? Men always look much older with beards/ moustaches and I just don't get them at all ??

Oh no. Biscuit crumbs in beards. Even worse. Sad

juddyrockingcloggs · 25/11/2017 20:10

Hate it when my DH doesn't have a beard! Gives me the heebie jeebies!

When I come to power I will make it law that all men have a beard and moustache.

littlepeas · 25/11/2017 20:10

My dh does look younger without his beard, but far sexier and distinguished with it! Different men suit different things, in the same way some women suit a bob whereas others look better with long hair. Although I have to say I do delight in calling him Mr Twit if he ever gets anything in it, so I suppose only clean and well maintained beards are acceptable to me!

eddiemairswife · 25/11/2017 20:15

Do they get people to sponsor them for Movember?

Andrewofgg · 25/11/2017 20:16

I grew a beard because I had a five o’clock shadow at two p.m. and I grew the moustache because a beard without one looks silly.

I met DW a couple of years later and she likes them. And the only time I have been clean-shaven since was because of chemotherapy, and it all grew back, and I am damned if I will shave it all off voluntarily!

Ttbb · 25/11/2017 20:17

I really like a well groomed moustache. Hair in general. Ok, I just like hairy men.

Sparklingbrook · 25/11/2017 20:17

I don't really get the Movember thing.

TooManyPaws · 25/11/2017 20:21

I like tidy, well-trimmed full beards or fully shaven. I don't like the topiary where they shave some bits and not others, whether moustaches, Lincoln-style beards or whatever. I keep thinking that the fashion for goatees must surely be over soon - there was a so-called comic, Johnny somebody or other, and all I could think of when seeing his face was that he was wearing a pair of bollocks on his chin. Just yuck.

PunkrockerGirl59 · 25/11/2017 20:22

A moustache with a beard is ok(ish).

A moustache on its own just looks 1960/70's and creepy imo.

NotACleverName · 25/11/2017 20:24

You've got my vote!

converseandjeans · 25/11/2017 20:25

YANBU I find them a bit 1980s & associate them with coppers, Tom Selleck and German men. But i guess we all have our likes and dislikes....

Grimbles · 25/11/2017 20:32

My husband shaved his beard off and looked like a teenager. I couldn't look at him till he grew it back.

BonnieF · 25/11/2017 20:39

It's about fashion.

Moustaches are not fashionable, unless grown in conjunction with a beard, or unless it's November. This is why we think they look odd.

Back in the 70s & 80s moustaches were in fashion. Loads of actors, celebrities and footballers had them and so did millions of ordinary blokes so they looked normal.

LuckyAmy1986 · 25/11/2017 20:47

IMO most men look better with some sort of facial hair. Not just a moustache though!

Floellabumbags · 25/11/2017 20:51

I was never a fan of the tache until DH grew one for Movember a few years ago and I discovered that I've got a bit of a pervy thing for them. It's gone now but he has the stubble thing going on, which I also like.

helen3000 · 25/11/2017 20:53

I am torn; some men look OK with them; TOM SELLECK hubba hubba, and Burt Reynolds, and Sam Elliott....

But some men just look a bit daft with them (Sorry if that offends anyone...) Some men look fine, others don't (IMO.)

Beards (sort of goatee-ish and trimmed neatly,) look nice usually, but I loathe kissing my husband when he has a beard. LOATHE it...... Sad He has one occasionally, but not often. I can't be intimate with him when he has a beard - and as I said, I can't even kiss him. Maybe irrational, but I just can't do it.......

ImAMarshmellow · 25/11/2017 20:55

Got to keep your upper lip warm somehow

Sparklingbrook · 25/11/2017 20:57

And if they work in food service they have to wear those awful beard net things. Yuk.

sinceyouask · 25/11/2017 20:58

IDK op, might be something to do with men not having to arrange their faces in the way you personally find attractive Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 25/11/2017 20:59

Just when you thought the beard couldn't get any worse...

To not understand why men have moustaches ?
toffee1000 · 25/11/2017 20:59

I don’t like facial hair either. Who the hell wants a mouth full of hair when they go in for a kiss/or for the hair to go up their nose?? If a bloke’s got stubble it’s just all horrible and spiky.

silkpyjamasallday · 25/11/2017 21:22

I don't mind them, as long as there is also a beard. If it's just the tache they look creepy, DP will leave it for a while to annoy me when he is doing a full shave and says it's his '70s corrupt police officer' look Confused

Andylion · 25/11/2017 21:28

This is why.
(I know, They don't all look like that.)

YABU.

Bit unfair to say they look creepy, it's like saying someone who wears their hair in paits is creepy - it's a personal choice that harms no one.
