From BBC website:

A South African court has increased Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius's jail sentence for killing his girlfriend to 13 years and five months.

How about "Murderer of Reeva Steenkamp has his sentence doubled."

I mean, do they think that if for some reason Reeva hadn't been killed that they would still be together?

How bloody dare they call her his girlfriend?

His girlfriend = 14 characters
Reeva Steencamp = 15 characters

I couldn't testify on oath Uokbing but I think it just said "Oscar Pistorius has had his sentence doubled and it didn't mention the crime at all. I remember clicking on it early in the morning and while waiting for the page to load wondering what he had done to have his sentence doubled (eg had he attacked someone in jail?) so I think it was pretty basic. As I say, I can't really remember but I am pretty sure that if I came storming in to the computer frothing with righteous indignation (as I was Grin ) and found that the headline said what it does now, the wind would have been taken from my sails and I wouldn't have posted the thread. So, yeah, I would guess it has changed BUT I am not infallible.

Who can remember the guy who killed John Lennon or the name of the woman who OJ Simpson killed or the man who killed Jill Dando?

Who, Mark Chapman, Nicole Brown Simpson (and Ron Goldman)?
I didn't think anyone had been convicted of Jill Dando's murder, though?

Barry George was wrongly convicted of Jill Dando’s murder, but found not guilty on appeal.
