Was told that buying regina blitz kitchen roll is pretentious and a middle class excess? Confused

Anyone agree?

I guess, in Jilly terms, it's a Jen Teale thing?

IncyWincyGrownUp · 24/11/2017 21:39

Nah. I’m common as much and buy it because it’s strong and kitchen proof.

dementedpixie · 24/11/2017 21:40

I buy it when it's on offer

RemainOptimistic · 24/11/2017 21:40

Never heard of it. What class does that make me?

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 24/11/2017 21:42

I had never heard of it but bought it today because it was on offer and kitchen roll is so bloody expensive for the decent stuff anyway. I didn't realise kitchen roll could make one middle class.

ApplesTheHare · 24/11/2017 21:42

I'm pretty sure you have to pretend not to notice brands to be truly middle class Grin

haba · 24/11/2017 21:42

I've never heard of it. What a ridiculous name.

WorraLiberty · 24/11/2017 21:42

I stopped buying it in favour of Morrison's 'Multi' kitchen towel.

It's exactly the same (not even a slight difference) and much cheaper.

The class thing is weird. I have no idea about that crap Grin

Battleax · 24/11/2017 21:43
Confused

That's a new one.

buckeejit · 24/11/2017 21:45

Ooh. Morrisons multi you say? Off to see if it's in the Amazon pantry......

hazeyjane · 24/11/2017 21:46

This thread has left me very confused, which either means I'm too posh, too common or just a bit pissed.

FadedRed · 24/11/2017 21:46

Ermm.....kitchen roll.... is that a commodity used by the staff?
I'll send for the butler, he will enquirer of the Housekeeper, who will have a word with Cook, who will ask the kitchen scullery maids, then I'll get back to you on this issue.

thenettyprofessor · 24/11/2017 21:47

Heeellloooo one does only use this when...the bog roll runs out luv alrite

Never heard of it. Am with Apples - to be truly middle class you wouldn't notice the brand, or be shopping in Lidl marvelling at the value.

Upper class - your butler buys it.

ShatnersBassoon · 24/11/2017 21:48

It sounds like an industrial-strength feminine hygiene product, so I'd say it's not associated with the middle classes (who obviously have no need for such things).

CharlieSierra · 24/11/2017 21:50

I've never heard of it. And I don't buy kitchen roll. What class am I?

Thishatisnotmine · 24/11/2017 21:50

There is another called Regina Wish which has extra perforations. Big or little sheets, up to you! I want them to combine Blitz and Wish.

RatRolyPoly · 24/11/2017 21:51

Ha, no! We used to buy it back when we were beer-swilling call-centre working layabouts who dossed at each others' houses. So many alcohol spillages... Grin

buckeejit · 24/11/2017 21:51

Boo, just strong & absorbent or ultra strong & thick.

I might try Regina vs the ultra strong & thick.

Incidentally my cat is called Regina & she won over the bog standard kitchen roll we normally get this morning when she decided to attack it 🐱

buckeejit · 24/11/2017 21:52

Ooh, now I want the wish-I hate waste & am so stingy that I often rip a piece of kitchen roll in 2 if I don't need the whole thing, but it's not easy

ZenNudist · 24/11/2017 21:52

I thought this was a vagina steaming product Grin

NatMatCat · 24/11/2017 21:55

No. Middle class people have an aversion to kitchen roll. Possibly acceptable to keep some Waitrose own brand under the Belfast sink.

Halebeke425 · 24/11/2017 21:55

Agree with WorraLiberty morrisons multi is identical and have never heard about any class bullocks it's kitchen roll for God's sake.

millsbynight · 24/11/2017 21:56

Never heard of it! I just googled it and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it in the shops. And I live in London not in the middle of nowhere Confused
