To think I shouldn't have to make my own tea in a cafe

Just that really. It's a nerve. Or is it just me being U.

Oh I agree. It's not even tea really as by the time you "make" it, the water's a long way from boiling. Surely everyone knows you need properly boiling water to make proper tea.

I've not seen this before, what do you mean you have to make it yourself? And why is the water not really boiling? Very curious now!

It's not so much whether or not the tea is to my liking. Wanted two teas asked where we got them. Guy waved towards some machines. I said which one is tea as there seemed only a coffee and soft drinks one. Then said you get the teabags from me. Then got the hot water from urn type contraption. Where is milk. Waved towards this silver jug. DH investigated. No milk in jug. By which time we'd paid or else I'd have said forget it.

He said he was busy doing something else. Nobody in front or behind us in queue. Did go and get the milk out of fridge and refilled jug but I was made to feel the unreasonable one. Sorry for rant. Am I just an old fuss pot or what.

Oh I'm not keen on those heated tap urn type things, water always seems to taste a bit weird out of them. I don't mind having a little pot to pour myself though, it's quite nice being able to brew it however you like.

Service sounds rubbish where you were. YANBU imo, especially about the milk!

I hate it when you get a teabag in a mug of hot water. The water is never hot enough for the tea to infuse properly, then you have the dilemma of what to do with the soggy teabag.
