I run one in my city and the support locally has been absolutely overwhelming - we've got boxes in loads of local schools providing donated menstrual products for free, so noone has to miss out on school due to being in period poverty.
If you do have a project locally, see a collection box anywhere and have the means, please stick a pack of pads in it - it makes such a difference.
(It is possible that I had a rather emotional morning at a school. I do know there are many worthy causes and many reasons why people do or don't donate to them. I also know there are any number of reasons why people live in period poverty and they can't all be fixed with donated pads. I just feel a bit evangelical after this morning. Please don't berate me for being gushy on AIBU
