Never have I never - anyone else not a fan of this?

Anyone else who's not a fan? It just always ends up with people mentioning really outlandish 'out-there' stuff that they've supposedly done - e.g. kinky sexual stuff, random stuff like shoplifting or taking hard drugs. And it always feels a bit like they're showing off. Anyone else ever felt the same way as me when they've played this?

I'm quite a boring person boring as fuck actually, so I never drink when someone comes out with 'never have I never had sex in the sea' or 'never have I ever taken cocaine' (or whatever).

(It's a drinking game by the way. It starts off with someone saying 'never have I never' about something that they have done. That person drinks, and so does everyone else in the group who has also done that thing. E.g. 'Never have I never been to New Zealand).

Love your username. YANBU! I hate it too. Always clammed up when someone wanted to play at parties when I was younger. Am v private, so even if I had done the kinky sex thing mentioned, I wouldn't be tell all and sundry at a party!

I must be too old for this game as it’s never a drinking game that I played. I have heard of it but the whole premise confuses me. Never have I ever.... is that something I have or have not done? I’d be shit at the game and drink at all the wrong times, which would make me hideously drunk and in turn even more confused about what the hell was going on.

I quite like it, as long as you're playing with people who are not tiresome attention-seekers. Part of the fun is throwing in randomly daft things like 'Never have I ever bought a Greggs' sausage roll' or 'NHIE danced to Agadoo'.

I thought the person saying never have I ever had to say something they've never done, then everybody who has done it has to drink. That's part of the fun, thinking of things you've never done that would make everybody else drink.

I've never watched porno and that ones garunteed to make most of the circle have to drink. Or watched Jurassic park.

To be fair, boring people have the advantage because you can say all sorts of things you've never done.

Only a game I've ever played as a teenager. It was fun at the time. I'd find it a bit weird if my friends wanted to play it now!

Ahh that's what confuses me - each time I play it, the rules always seem to change. So sometimes it's: drink if you have done it, other times it's that you drink if you haven't done it.

Swapping it is probably a good way to even it up
