It's getting me down. I suffer from anxiety and work is pretty much my sanctuary apart from this.

Is it just like this everywhere?

What is wrong with actually being a team? No no everyone wants to be in charge - bitching and sniping. Whispering anda general feeling of unease.

Just can't stand it..

Oh me too. My place is full of incompetent lazy people wearing titles that they are this that or the other but some of them couldnt find their arse in the dark with both hands. Others below them are such cringeworthy arselickers..

mumonashoestring · 22/11/2017 18:12

It's not like that everywhere but I have to say there does seem to be a general overflow of grumpy/bitchy behaviour at the moment. Everyone seems to have gone a bit crazy.

Do you have a HR department you could talk to? Employee relations? Poor relationships within teams does no-one any good, including the company as a whole.

I feel your pain as I'm stuck in the middle of 2 people who can't stand each other, in a team of 3.just shut up get on with it and go home on time eh? Not that sodding hard.

Mumonashoestring we have recently been taken over by a corporate. HR is some invisible place God knows where. Manager has taken sabatacal leave due to stressHmm

Lots of people trying to shine and not caring who they shit on on the way. Fucking awful atmosphere - friends at each other throats.

Manipulative taunts everywhere.

My anxiety means I wear my heart on my sleeve and am seen as volatile but honestly just want to be left out of all the shit!

Ah, horrible situation, everyone's desperate to prove their 'worth' - I take it keeping your head down and plodding on isn't an option?

missymayhemsmum · 22/11/2017 20:29

There's your answer then. There's change in the air. You know how small kids react to any change in their environment by playing up, whining and kicking against authority? Well unfortunately so lots of working adults.

LEMtheoriginal · 22/11/2017 20:55

Mum that is my plan for now - I'm retraining and as such can get through that. But I hate the tenderness

I have 1 week left before mat leave. I work in a small company of 4 people. Me and one other office based and 2 site based. Office based boss hasn't acknowledged me or my pregnancy since I told them I was pregnant months ago, no hello/goodbye, nothing, literally ceased to exist. We sit 5 feet from each other and you couldnt get a word in edge ways with him before that.
Off site boss hasn't responded to any of my messages for over a week. No word on mat cover, I could have found them someone but they didn't need my help.

Roll on next weekend!!
