Theresa May Suppresses Child Abuse Documents because of 'National Security'

In other words, she's protecting her mates! Angry

Did we learn nothing from Jimmy Saville? We need to stop child abuse. We need to investigate all claims of child abuse. How dare May ignore this?

And the fact that the media isn't reporting this speaks volumes! Angry

(Please don't name names of possible abusers or the thread will be deleted!)

For her and her ilk these kids are disposable. Angry

Not massively convinced of your source or of the credibility of your claim It's May not allowing papers to be shared, when the article you link to doesn't say that.

It appears one MP is claiming the Home Sec said one thing and the PM said another.

The inquiry hasn't said papers have been withheld, and the article mentions MI5 papers that have been presented.

So, I think YABU.

terfing · 21/11/2017 06:18

@Unhomme

Theresa May has form for this. As Home Secretary, she "lost" a whole report into this issue! I realize that the article doesn't go into too much detail, but the information is out there. I just didn't want to clog up the thread with lots of old links.

Sadly though, I wish you were right. I wish this was lies Sad

If MI5/MI6 papers are involved, it's totally normal for some to be released, some to be redacted, and some not to be put into the public domain at all.

If it is that, it is a total non-story.

terfing · 21/11/2017 15:56

Fair enough. However, May should do an enquiry with the findings and stop any future abuses. We all know that she won't! Angry

Not a credible source so until you can confirm it with a good news site yabu.

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 21/11/2017 18:58

Wasn’t there shenanigans a few years ago regarding the inquiry while she was Home Secretary?

I don’t think the full truth will ever come out until everyone involved is dead but by then there will be new predators to take their place.

The London Economic news site is as unreliable as any right wing blog.

www.pressgazette.co.uk/alternative-news-website-the-london-economic-sees-traffic-boom-with-pro-corbyn-coverage/

By deliberately publishing pro-Corbyn news, the guy who rums it has pushed traffic to his site up more than tenfold.

Click bait. Potentially libellous click bait.

I agree

Bombardier25966 · 21/11/2017 19:31

If you look at the page they do link to the question (and Rudd's response) in parliament. Rudd has stated documents will not be released for security reasons, May states no documents will be suppressed. One of them is telling lies.

(I don't dispute that the London Economic is biased, but it is a helpful source for information that the MSM will not report. You are then free to fact check it yourself, as you should do with any news source.)

terfing · 21/11/2017 20:14

I got the link from Twitter. I thought it was a news website, apologies if it is a blog.

However, May does have history of suppressing these inquiries!

I will try find a better source.

The lack of media reports into this enquiry is so telling... especially given how much the likes of the daily fail love a sex abuse scandal.... but perhaps only involving those that like in a council estate or are from Rotherham rather than Westminster...Hmm

Bluntness100 · 21/11/2017 21:28

I think you’ve jumped the gun a bit here and gone off all excited about well. Nothing really.

malcomTucker · 22/11/2017 01:59

"May does have history of suppressing these inquiries! "

No she doesn't.

What does Saville have to do with this?

Transparency is lacking in this Government. See the Brexit Reports.
