I do elf on the shelf and am not on Facebook so not everyone who does it is doing it to show off. I can imagine like everything else on there daily things on Facebook are annoying. I find the whole thing very annoying though hence why I don't have it

YANBU. This got on my fucking tits last year. Two FB friends went proper crazy on it and one of them has said how excited she is about it starting soon.

I don't knowingly know a single person in rl or on FB who does this elf on the shelf thing . I've never even seen one!

I also do not have one friend that I know of that does elf on the shelf. First I’d ever heard of it was in MN as it happens. I had to google it.

I’ve done it for the past five years so before it was popular (yes, regular EOTS hipster over here) and I did used to share it on my Instagram back then but at the time, nobody had a fucking clue what it was. I don’t share now mostly because I’m shit bored of it myself.
