To ask what time your DC go to bed?

Chatting to friends last night. They put their DC (6 and 4) to bed at 6:30pm. Ours (4 and 2) go to bed at closer to 8. DH and I both commute to work so collect from after school club at 6, take home, feed, bathe story etc. No way can we do it any quicker and besides, I like to have a little bit of time with them in the evenings (I don't get home until almost 7) as well as getting them up and out in the mornings. They wake up around 6:45/7am.

AIBU to ask if we're doing ours a disservice and "they'll be too tired to learn properly " (no one has said this btw)

4 and 2 and a half year old, bed 7.30-8pm (usually closer to 8pm). They get up about 7.30/8am usually. Works for us, any earlier and it wouldn’t work with dinners, baths, etc.

Mine are 8 and 12 and go to bed between 8-8.30 on a school night. I try to make it closer to 8 if poss, as even my 12 yr old says he’s tired, he likes his sleep.

However Monday is always a late night due to Scouts not finishing till 9.
