Saw this on my local memorial and it really annoyed me. Regardless of political stance, it's just not the time or place to be trying to score political points. AIBU/naive?

My Dad fought in WW2 against intolerance and bigotry, it is pretty disgusting that UKIP have appropriated the expression 'fighting for your country' , and used it to compare their spouting of revolting ideas, to the sacrifice of all the brave men and women who have laid down their lives to keep us a free country.

My Dad would be turning in his grave - he hated UKIP with a passion.

So crass, isn't it. Something about that big pound sign right in the centre is just awful to see in among the poppies. As appropriate and welcome as a fart on the dancefloor.

Mind you they are thick as pigshit so I doubt they have any inkling of what Remebrance Day is all about.

What a bunch of morons

I guess they’d argue that those soldiers fought for us to have the freedom to do such insensitive shit. That’s usually the argument I hear from that lot
