Sorry know not really aibu post (did post elsewhere but no replies). Can anyone recommend something? Their own brand one is so expensive and not that nice looking. I’ve been using a cheap one but it’s too short now. I can’t work out what would fit.

I tried a few and the only one that was a half decent fit was one by Fellhof. I bought it from here (www.baababy.co.uk/footmuffs/fellhof-classic-sheepskin-footmuff.html) and whilst not cheap I’ve had a lot of use out of it. Just wish they made something similar for adults! Fantastic quality and very snug all round.

It doesn’t look good but it is incredibly warm. I have been very impressed by it. Worth the money.

We had one from a Jane buggy that we managed to use. The ‘official’ ones are so expensive.

Maybe just use a blanket? Or double up in trousers - leggings under trousers etc?

I use a john lewis universal one.

bananamonkey · 13/11/2017 20:47

The John Lewis grey sheepskin one, got it second hand though because £££

Bryonie2017 · 13/11/2017 20:47

I have the John Lewis own brand one - fits through the straps great but is a little high with the newborn insert if you're using it - I just don't do up the last 6 inches at the moment. Should be fine when DD is bigger. Was about £30 if I recall and they do red stars and polar bears.

I got a cheap universal one from Amazon for about a tenner. It's fine and does what it needs to do.

bananamonkey · 13/11/2017 20:48

The own brand one looks like a bin bag!

I finally succumbed to a babaganoush and was glad I did

Scotinoz · 13/11/2017 20:56

I used a John Lewis universal one. 4 years on and it's still going strong 😅

CaveMum · 13/11/2017 20:59

The own brand one doesn't look the best but it is very warm.

I use a second hand jojo one. It’s fine although as there’s nowhere at the back to attach it to I have fastened the straps with a safety pin. It sounds worse than it looks!

CeeCeeEnnEss · 13/11/2017 21:02

I got one from mamas and papas. It fits fine and is really cosy.

SharkInThePark · 13/11/2017 21:16

Thanks for all the suggestions. I’ll get looking into those.
