Does anyone else find the big metal Channel 4 man fucking terrifying?

If you haven't seen him, he's a big iron man type thing advertising channel four before programmes start. I think he is a four, made into a man shape.

I hate it. Hate it. I have started turning it off when it comes on. I especially hate the one where he stands on the cliff and shouts at the village below. I don't really know why, I can't put my finger on it.

Anyone else? If not, maybe we can salvage the thread with a discussion of creepy or hated adverts, I dunno...I just wanted to ask.

We had 'Titan the robot' in our local shopping centre a few times. It was fucking terrifying and made a horrible noise when it walked. It caught me unawares once and I got trapped in peacocks and rang DH in a panic - checked the local paper for appearances after that

It is a bit creepy. I used to love the old channel 4 idents, where it panned out on a random scenery and then it would form the channel 4 logo and then they updated them to the current horrible ones, with the creepy music and the close up of the bed bug/dust mite thing feeding itself!

There's something a bit 'off' about him. DS thinks he's odd as well.

Just watched them on you tube. I don't like the noise he makes. Unsettling.

My 2 yr old absolutely loves him.
Stops whatever he is doing and stares at the tv with a big grin on his face or giggles away at the 'big man'.
