AIBU to sew elastic to my gloves and thread them through my coat!

I have 4 kids and a hectic lifestyle running around them. I've just found some gorgeous (but not particularly expensive) gloves in Sainsbury's but on getting back on my oldest two girls have already admired them. Invariably I'm always the last in the queue and my kids wonder off with loads. I'm seriously considering doing this!

Did it years ago. Never looked back. Also never lose the expensive leather gloves I got for my birthday.

YABU. I tried it, and for some reason the string just pulled out of my sleeve with my arm, it was a PITA. I attached my mittens to those plastic clips you get on lanyards, and clipped them to my sleeves. A bit fiddly to get on and off, but less fiddly that fecking about with the bastard string!

Great idea. I lost a pair of gorgeous gloves, left on a shop counter somewhere.
