AIBU to be worried about my son's voice?

My son is 7.5 and for the last few days his voice sounds like it’s breaking. I’m aware he’s far too young to be going through puberty.
Anyone have any idea what else it could be?
Should I be worried?

Has he just got a sore throat? My voice does all sorts when I've got a cold.

Boys go through a LOT of changes before their voices go wobbly. Hair first... lots of hair ... Shock

Ds has a friend who has had a “breaking” voice for years, usually comes on after lots of shouting/talking loud.
