To be massively annoyed at Amazon prime

So I placed my order and promised delivery today. At 11.43 I got confirmation my order was out for delivery. At 21.42 I got a message saying "we tried to deliver your order but failed. There has been someone at home all day and I have an instruction set to leave in a safe place if not in. So clearly they haven't tried to deliver my order- they just haven't bothered! This is not the first time ive had failed deliveries so I'm paying £80 for "guaranteed" next day delivery on Prime which actually doesn't happen - anyone else had this issue?

A result there then doris!

I still have no info. The CS rep called me back to update me, 4 hours after he'd put in a request for info, but no one had got back to him so he had nothing to tell me. He was supposed to call me back before he went off duty at 9pm but I've heard nothing more. My order details page still says "Arriving today. Preparing for dispatch" and the order tracker now says "was expected by Wednesday"

I've used Amazing prime for years with no problem but exactly the same happened to us yesterday! Package was redelivered today before I'd got around to contacting them.

Not RTFT but I've had problems twice this week. One I stayed in all day (because they said it would be delivered 7am - 10pm and I kept getting messages saying it would be delivered that day) and they delivered it the day after. No apology or anything (in fact the guy actually grabbed the machine out of my hand mid signature and walked off Hmm). The second I'm still waiting for... so infuriating!

Amazon Prime has got worse over the last few months. You now have to be really careful and check delivery dates as people have said before here, prime no longer automatically means tomorrow.

I was in all day yesterday and a package was supposed to be delivered by 9pm and an automated email arrived into my inbox at 9pm saying they had a failed delivery. No you didn’t, you just couldn’t be arsed to finish your job.

Pmsl at Dave in the mail room.
In fairness we have found them to be mostly good but if you do find them crap is an extra month really what you want when you complain?

So I was advised to cancel and reorder yesterday all my items.and .they were all due today bit guess what . No delivery, spent 20 mins on the phone and explained we are now 3 days past my daughter's birthday and I am totally out of pocket and fed up so they are going to have to offer more the 30 days extra prime now Angry

I've chatted with another CS rep and he said that the item I'd ordered was coming from a fulfillment centre outside of the UK. If that's the case then why guarantee next day delivery? All it says it fulfilled by Amazon, nothing about it coming from abroad. I've just looked and there's still time, up until tomorrow lunchtime, to order it and have it delivered on Friday.

Anyway, I've now had a dispatch email and the tracker now states that it'll be delivered sometime between the 8th (!!) and the 10th. I'll check the tracker in the morning to see if the status has changed, it's in transit at the moment, because I really do need to go out either tomorrow or Friday.
