AIBU for wanting to spend good money on a wooden box

I came across this www.kickstarter.com/projects/1666763761/babycrate-the-all-natural-newborn-safe-sleep-bed?ref=user_menu and really do not know why I want it - I understand it is just a wooden box...
but, it is a nice box! But for that price...AIBU?

Ok I do like it but oh dear god the price! For a crate! As soon as the baby is able to sit up it’s pretty much useless as they’ll be able to pull themselves out.

Maybe google for similar but hopefully way, way cheaper Grin. What about those baby box things they do in (I think) Denmark?

CocoPuffsinGodMode · 06/11/2017 19:50

Ooh hang on, I actually thought the “amount pledged” was the cost, it’s not Grin. Still minimum €170 though!

Is this just 'creative' spam ?

Callamia · 06/11/2017 19:57

It’s just a bed nest, but without the stand. How is that helpful?

Finnish Baby Box?

Wooden boxes for babies to sleep in remind me of coffins Sad

Also all expensive baby cribs etc are totally pointless if you get a "bad sleeper" and end up co-sleeping...

I think it's horrible! It's not even nice wood, and it looks like a greengrocer's crate. Having said that, I don't think €170 is too bad for a crib.

I clicked on this thinking it was going to be about the cost of coffins. About which I can get quite exercised. :o

By the way, I'm pretty sure you can get a crate like that at IKEA.
