Rejected by ASOS due to my age

Hi,

I know this sounds very paranoid but I have registered with ASOS and it won't recognised my correct email address and password. I didn't think too much of it and tried again with no luck. I wanted to order some clothes but I couldn't add any to my 'bag'. When I finally got onto the live chat, the first thing I was asked was my date of birth (aged 45). I was told they couldn't help due to data protection and I should email them from my email address. I asked for their address and was sent a link which took me back to the questions page.

I tried to get on live chat again but received an email asking for my order number. I tried twice to reply but my emails won't 'send'.

I tried to register again but it states there is already a customer with the address.

I have never had such problems before and not incompetent re online shopping (I don't have a poor credit history)

Am I being totally stupid thinking it could be my age?

Why on earth would it be your age? No retailer would ban a 45YO from shopping from their website regardless of their demographics - you could be buying gifts, have a more expendable income, etc.

incompetent re online shopping (I don't have a poor credit history)

What? What does your credit history have to do with being incompetent at placing an order online?

It's not your age. I'm 53 and registered with ASOS to buy the clothes DS likes!

Do a password reset. Why is that so hard?

Squoosh, if you are really lucky they'll sell you a ribbon to wear Wink

In my experience, ASOS customer service is just generally terrible. I'm sure it has nothing to do with your age and everything to do with the horrendous ASOS experience.

Bloody hell MurderofGoths, what? why?! That's.................something else! Perfect outfit for meeting one's partner's parents for the first time Grin

But I'm not sure white is the right colour for something that will be lodged up your bum crack.

Haha, I don't imagine it sold well. Lots of free press for them though
