For the Apollo 11 moon landing conspiracy theory to be true, over 400,000 people would need to be part of the secret.

Of course it's rubbish. Just a bunch of nutters getting on.

What do the conspiracy theorists think about Apollos 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17?

ChelleDawg2020 · 06/11/2017 14:37

It certainly could be a conspiracy, but to believe it relies on ignoring very good evidence in favour of some rather dodgy stuff.

I know that, in general, anything I haven't personally seen for myself could have been faked (and even some of the stuff I have seen), but we have to make our decisions on the evidence available.

People think the holocaust was faked, that shape-shifting lizards run the planet, that JFK was shot by the CIA, KGB and the mafia, that the moon landings were faked. Some people might believe all four, but there are many who believe one theory but find another idiotic or offensive.

Personally, I think it would be easier to actually carry out the moon landings than it would be to fake them and keep up the lie for five decades.

I believe Brian ....

Wanderlust1984 · 06/11/2017 14:57

Anyone who believes the moon landing didn't happen is an idiot!

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 06/11/2017 15:02

I find the theorists, and their motivation, fascinating, a bit like Flat Earthers. I mean, why?

CaveMum · 06/11/2017 15:06

Did you see that the Flat Earthers have been using a Prof Brian quote at their conference? He had a suitably cutting response on Twitter!

I liked the comment in that thread that there are flat-earthers "all over the globe" ...

brasty · 06/11/2017 16:39

That is funny
