I've just done such a stupid thing!

I've name changed, as this level of stupidity cannot be connected to me 😜.

I've spent around 16 hours over the past three days on a very complicated cross stitch. I've just noticed that I had the bloody canvas turned portrait instead of landscape! Arrrrgggggghhhhh!!! I'm going to have to unpick everything I've done so far 😩😩😭😭.

Can somebody please say something to make me feel better about my fuck-up? So I can know I'm not alone? Please...

I'm assuming you've already shouted 'bollocks' out loud and thrown the damn thing on the floor. Resist the temptation to scrunch it up into a ball and jump up and down on it - it really doesn't help.

I have said a few choice words . I have, however, resisted the temptation to scrunch it up, although I did give it a few very dirty looks. I unpicked the damn thing and started again. I've almost caught up to where I was before I noticed my mistake.

I've just finished this this evening. I started it many many years ago but put it down for years and then have been doing it on and off. I'm really bad at finishing projects so chuffed I've done it.

Gingernaut It started when I was 19 and I am now rapidly approaching 52. I have more stash than you can shake a stick at, have projects lined up for the next year, and enough to keep me going til I hit my 70s.

I've just found Cross Stitch Gold in Euston WHSmith just as it was closing.
