To still be surprised by my period after all these years?

I've been having periods for more than 20 years. I have a standard 28 day cycle, regular as clockwork. And yet my period STILL manages to catch me off guard most months.

For the last week or so, I've known at the back of my mind that my period is due any day, but when I realised this morning it had started my first thought was "Oh gosh, really? My period? Now???"

Sometimes when I have a heavy start for split second I panic because OMG BLOOD, I'M DYING, and then I remember, oh yeah ... periods.

Surely I can't be the only one who is so dopey about this?

The Flo app (although I'm sure there are others) is your friend. Smile

Mental image of Dopey from the Seven Dwarves being tapped on the shoulder by a big red blob, turning round, jumping 3 feet in the air and going "OMG Period!" Grin

Just put it in your diary!

I don't have a diary.

Maybe that is part of my problem!

I was the same but had to start tracking when they started to go haywire with perimenopause- I used the Clue app.
