To wonder if boys and girls should be changing separately by year 5?

I’m not sure if I’m being overly concerned about this, but my DD (9) just told me that her class is still changing all together for PE.

Last year the staff told parents that they would be separated from year 5, and I was relieved. DD is an early bloomer, has her period and is very “well endowed”.

Obviously she has a bra and knickers on, but I just feel like they’re getting a bit old to change all together.

At DS school they do from year 5

Y5 at ds' school too. It means the boys get changed in the corridor and so get no privacy but hey ho. Hmm

Just speak to her teacher about it!

To be clear, I'm not saying separating them is a bad thing, only that maybe a better solution than the corridor should be found.

Yeah, a corridor doesn’t sound ideal, especially in winter when things get drafts! I suppose it can’t hurt to ask about it, I just didn’t really want to be “that parent”.
