Its our toddler and baby group tomorrow and my DS2 doesnt and didnt want a outfit but does like a handband the glow in the dark types. So i just picked him up some devil horns.

Our play group is at a church hall. The priests wife helps to run it and he then comes and does song time with the guitair.

AIBU for him to wear the devil horns tomorrow? he is so looking forward to it.

My DS attends a nursery which is part of a c of e school. I was bemused on dropping him off this morning that about 70% of the preschool kids were in Halloween costumes. I assumed that church school therefore Halloween was not the done thing.

A couple of parents were asked to remove their children's costumes today at my local church toddler group. I knew they wouldn't be celebrating so it didn't cross my mind to dress my daughter up.

Hi all little update. We didnt do the horns and he broke them within 5 minutes this afternoon Hmm
There were quite a few dressed in halloween bits nothing over the top a set if twins as bats. A pumkin then a few halloween t-shirts.
Then lots of halloween crafts was a lovely session today Smile

Sounds fun, glad you enjoyed it. Bats are a really cute costume for small kids.

I want a full report on this. With diagrams and pentagrams and everything.

I saw a child with a pitchfork in my local cathedral the other day Confused

Hallowe'en literally means the eve before All Hallows, so it definitely has strong links to Christianity.

I am not at all religious, but I think you would be totally unreasonable and disrespectful. You know it too, hence this thread. It would be a slap in the face to the hospitality of the vicar and his wife who run the group. It is not remotely funny. However, I would assume most vicars/vicars wives would pity someone for doing this, rather than being angry/offended and would assume they had issues.

Oh calm down and read the OP's update.

My old (vicar) boss souls have found it cute. He loved Halloween parties and used to do parties for the playgroups and Halloween
Movie and pizza nights for the teens. He always dressed as elvis.

I only really pulled a poo face when mums gave their kids ham sandwiches in the local synagogue (where we had clubs).
