Psychic told me to leave my DH

I went to a psychic evening last weekend and the tarot card reader told me that basically my DH was being "unfair" to me, that we had a lot of issues but none of those were my fault and that she felt it was best that I move on as there was a brighter future without him waiting for me.

This was said infront of a room full of people, most of who I knew locally. She asked if I could relate to what she said and I said genuinely I couldn't - we are very happy and since having our last child have been in a really good place.

I've since found out that someone from the psychic evening has gone and told people what was said and has come to the conclusion that my DH is clearly having an affair and it's only a matter of time before we split.

My DH is incredibly upset and annoyed at the situation and said he wishes I had never gone. AIBU to contact the psychic (I have her card) and tell her how her words have impacted me and my DH??

My friend saw a psychic who told her she would have a leg injury and never have kids. She came off her bike a few weeks later, broke it really badly. She was convinced the psychic was right and that she would never have kids either but now she's a happy mum and the psychic was talking shit.
Hope you're ok OP. Your gossiping mate is the problem not your marriage.

She was talking shit to earn money. Nothing more. How you react to this will tell your friends a lot more about your relationship than the psychic's nonsense bullshittery

OP, I get why your DH is pissed off.

Some people who attend those events don't just attend for an evening's entertainment, they actually believe every word is true.

So it must be a pisser to have village gossips spreading shite about him, on the back of some silly 'psychic' whose out to earn a couple of quid.

It'll pass though and they'll find something else to gossip about soon enough.

Honestly I don't know how it works. I look at a palm. Some lines are flipping obvious. I thing palm reading is a bit easy - lines happen as you hold your hands in certain ways. Curl your hand in anger and the line WILL appear, by biology. Palm reading is reading what is happening now.

But how I can tell someone is pregnant? or that they have a non-bio child that is 'theirs' in a strange way have the same medical condition as their step-child and have married the same woman twice at the first time I meet them ?. I can't say how that happens. But it was a long wait while they tried to fix our plane (only one leaving from that airport for a week!) and people got bored.

Well I was very unhappy in my first marriage and had a phone consult with a psychic. She told me we would sort it all out. That was one of the kickers I needed to leave, I really did not want to sort it out and wanted to get the fuck away from him. So it was very helpful indeed!

Usually I am very cautious about getting involved in legal action but in this case I think that it is justified.
There might be grounds to sue her and I mean that seriously. She has defamed him on stage , damaged his reputation and caused distress.
I would take legal advice. Too many of these charlatans get away with their appalling behaviour.

I wouldn't bother contacting the pyschic. The person/ppl who are gossiping would annoy me, esp if they are friends and know both you and dh. Ignore, move on and tell friends to grow up.

I don't understand why the op has been getting such a hard time - a lot of posters are seeing stuff that's not there! She never said she took it seriously - the point is her husband is (not unreasonably) angry that the words have been twisted into him having an affair and being the subject of the latest gossip.

If by any small chance you're still here op I think the best thing to do is laugh it off of anyone raises it with you. Wouldn't bother contacting the psychic, she won't care - these people don't seem to have any self awareness. Or morals.

If you and your DH were fine you'd both be laughing at this - has your tarot reader stumbled on a chink in your armour? Look up 'cold reading' - this is how she knows whats worrying you and how to exploit it.
