AIBU that People who buy lots at Christmas doesn't equal not spending time with their children !

Ok so I know people hate Facebook but hey it exists and I live a nose on it 😀

The constant arguments of Christmas keep me entertained whilst DD sleeps

But what is with the assumption that if you buy lots of toys for your children it means you don't enjoy the time with them or appreciate the meaning of Christmas.

In this house we have Sunday dinner and a family day every Sunday unless in hospital with DD.
So the only difference between xmas day and abnormal Sunday is the gifts and maybe a few extra food treats for DS and DH.

It's just more people judging others.

People do Christmas the way they choose to; it is no indication of anything other than the fact that children now get much more (in terms of volume and cost) than children did in earlier generations and for lots of people that's a bad thing.

Some people seem to love a good gloaty judge of others.

Isn't it more the assumption that if you buy lots of presents and then post it all over social media then you're really fishing for parent of the year awards.

People saying 'my kids may not have much but they have love' are rightly putting the focus on that family time and what matters. It's not saying if you buy lots you don't love your kids, just saying really that side isn't what matters.

If it's s dig at working mothers, Im certain there are lots of working parents out there who would relish the thought of having the luxury of staying at home baking cakes and growing veg, but,They have no choice other than to go out to work.
