Do you have little niggles or routines. Are you completely pedantic about things being done in a certain way or order? I'm not talking OCD, that's a whole other ball game and I feel for people who have to live with this.
I have to wash my dishes in a certain order. First I have to wash the bowl out, then cutlery, plastic stuff (sandwich boxes etc) then glasses, cups, dishes and lastly plates. And I HAVE to stack them in a certain way.
Do you have to have matching colour towels out at one time? Sleep on a certain side? Things that if you don't do, it leaves you with a strange bad feeling in your tummy.
Tell me your funny habits please.

Olivia, have you ever not done it and felt uneasy the rest of the day?

I have a 'system' in bed:

I can only fall asleep facing away from DP.

The thinner duvet needs to be on top of the heavier one.

My arms can neither touch my body so need to be over Duvet 1, but need covering so under Duvet 2.

I can't sleep if I can feel DP or even my own breaths.

I can only sleep half on my side/ half on stomach and I hate having arms/ legs pinned by DP if he is hugging me.

There's probably more. I'm sure you'll all be shocked to hear I suffer from insomnia.

CheshireChat, I have to have my back to DP too, but it's because my left ear feels all wrong if I lay on it.

When I peg the washing out I have to use the same colour pegs on each item, and the peg colour mustn't clash with the colour of the clothing it's being used on.

I'm usually last to bed so when I switch off the kitchen light I always say goodnight to our guinea pig, even though she died about four years ago. I whisper it in case anyone should hear me and think I'm nuts.

I hang the washing out according to age then type. So trousers first DH, me, DS1, DS2. Jumpers DH me DS1 DS2. Right the way down to pants and socks. If I discover a pair of jeans after I have finished the tshirts I have to move all the washing along the line so that the jeans are in the correct place. It takes ages.
If DH hangs out the washing I have to sit on my hands!
Having a bit of a dilemma now that both DS are taller than me and their clothes are larger...so I might have to change the order...with me being last.

I cannot leave bubbles in a sink/bath. I have to to get rid.
I say goodnight to my pets as I'm passing them to go in the bedroom. If I somehow forget, I'll come back to do it.
Absolutely under no circumstance will I sleep naked AND completely uncovered - what if there's a burglar/ghost and he/she sees my fadge or bum hole :) seriously this bothers me. Even red hot, my legs, arms, feet can be uncovered but I need to cover from top of my thighs to my hip.
I'm sure I have more....

I can't fall asleep unless my ears are covered. I've always been paranoid about moths getting in there... i have no idea where this irrational fear came from!

There’s definitely a presence. Benign so far but I don’t want to annoy it, so I figure it’s only right to be polite to him Grin

My shoelaces have to be laced and done up in a certain way. When I buy new shoes that the first thing I do.

Tazmum01 Despite being obsessed with how the washing is hung out I have removed one of the hurdles by getting rid of my coloured pegs. Only wooden or white plastic now which is one less thing to worry about. If DP hangs stuff out I have to wait until he's gone out and then rearrange it. Ridiculous isn't it !

When I was younger (and sometimes now) I used to think everyone who knew me was sat in a room around a tv watching everything I was doing. I had a little rhyme I would say to myself to make them go away for a few minutes that started off quite brief, but I kept adding things just to make sure I could get a few minutes peace.

What a weirdo!
