If you have to phone a repair man etc, how late in the day is it reasonable to phone them?

Any time if they do t want to come out they won’t.

Pickleypickles · 24/10/2017 18:40

That depends what you want fixing and when surely?

TheNewSchmoo · 24/10/2017 18:40

If not an emergency and not offering an emergency service, I'd say 6 girlfriend of repairman - we'd like our dinner in peace

halcyondays · 24/10/2017 18:50

Yes, was thinking not later than 6, it's a broken washing machine . Hoping to get it fixed tomorrow if poss. Just didn't want to think that other people would be ringing later in the evening and taking up all the slots.

I think now would be fine if you're making a firm offer of work.

If you leave it until tomorrow he might assume he has the day off, and go to B&Q to buy paint for the spare bedroom.

Not after 6 unless it’s an emergency of course

foresttrees2 · 24/10/2017 19:15

But you can consider emailing.

I would say anytime between the hours of 8am to 8pm were acceptable.
