To send my 3 year old to childminders with a cough?

Please no nasty messages, just would like some opinions. Daughter (3y/o) has a cough, quite persistent and chesty, other than that she is fine and her usual happy self. Should I be keeping her home for this?
Cheers x

If she's happy in herself I'd send her. You can't keep them off for every little cough and cold.

Cough and cold, yes. As long as she's no temp or pure misery about it. Kids can spend literally the whole winter with a cough and/or cold.

Yes to cough. She could well have caught it there anyway.

Yeah, I’m a childminder and I wouldn’t mind you bringing a child with a cough. Half of them are coughing all the time anyway. As long as she’s well enough to join in with the days activities and you can be contacted.

HashtagTired · 24/10/2017 07:40

Only reason I wouldn’t is if he/she had a temperature with it.

General rule (excluding d and v) is if you're well enough to play, your well enough to stay.

I am a childminder and coughs and colds are fine, as long as they are well enough to go out and about, playgroup and school runs.
