Watching it again and it just loses its magic after Will dies. Plus they keep trotting out numerous men interests who are far too young for Alicia. And her botox gets worse as time goes on.

I need to watch something else now I think

I've just finished watching this (been binge watching while breastfeeding). Definitely went on a couple of seasons too long. And the constant 'leave the firm, start a new firm, rename the firm' was ridiculous. Did it get cancelled - it ended rather abruptly?

AssignedPerfectAtBirth · 22/10/2017 17:44

I think devastated is going a bit far

Btw, Kirstin shot JR

Bambi's mum dies.
And George shoots Lenny.

SilverySurfer · 22/10/2017 18:24

I seem to have watched countless series of this programme and so agree with you OP. It just all became a bit far fetched and I decided to take a break and can''t seem to get back into it. My consolation is that the 3rd season of Lucifer has begun on Amazon Prime Smile

SandyDenny · 22/10/2017 18:27

I think the actor who plays Cary is terrible, he was awful in Gilmore Girls and doesn't seem to have improved any since them imo

PuppyMonkey · 22/10/2017 18:47

Laurie the argument started because OP put what happened in her thread title for all to see. Been edited now.

How dare you assume my gender

I absolutely adored TGW but I really couldn't stand Will, so I still enjoyed it after he died. My favourite was always Diane, so I really should be watching The Good Fight.

Agree that it isn't really a spoiler if you reveal something that happened two and a half years ago.

scaryteacher · 23/10/2017 07:15

Have just started watching Series 1 of TGW, so it is a spoiler for me. Not everyone has Sky, especially abroad.

jainaproudm · 23/10/2017 08:33

It's not that much of a spoiler, it happened literally years ago on TV... if you watch stuff years after it airs you take your chances with the spoiler gods! But yeah, agreed - I watched two episodes after the love of my life Will died and then I decided I didn't like it as much any more and never finished it. Try Suits? Bit more lighthearted but still good :) Or Scandal, which is EXCELLENT.

confusedlittleone · 23/10/2017 09:59

@LaurieMarlow she supposedly didn't get on with most the cast, and that's why she ended up on her own.

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 23/10/2017 14:56

But scaryteacher you opened a thread with spoiler alert in the title so what’d you expect?!

In the UK it was on Freeview, not Sky.

scaryteacher · 23/10/2017 22:53

What great if you're in the UK...I'm not. I did say 'especially abroad'' which indicates outside the UK.

I didn't expect Will to have died - I thought that perhaps one of her kids had, or she had had an affair with the political svengali guy.

Gileswithachainsaw · 23/10/2017 22:56

Season 1 here

Good job I'm not worried about spoilers Grin

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 23/10/2017 22:58

YANBU, it still annoys me that they never resolved the romance between him and Alicia.

It goes down hill even further when Kalinda leaves.

85% of it is bloody excellent though. I love how tech savvy it was. And the “IN YOUR OPINION” judge Grin

BigGreenOlives · 23/10/2017 22:59

I watched TGW last year or the year before & kept thinking I’d seen Will walking along the street. I liked Cary too, despite him being too young for me, there’s just something about him. I’m watching The Good Place at the moment - no one I’m hoping to bump into but entertaining.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 23/10/2017 23:02

To answer a pp yes Elspeth is in the Good Fight as is Luca, Diane, Marissa and briefly David Lee.

Gileswithachainsaw · 29/10/2017 12:42

Ok I'm up to season three. Im getting a bit fed up now. It seems to be far to much about digging up dirt on eachother, forever "expanding" which leads to time jumps where it goes from being discussed and then having happened within an episode. And it's coming on most the way through a case rather and focussing on personal arguments between them all than starting from the beginning.

Please tell me it gets better..

It seems to also go from nothing to implying the non existent chemistry between will and Alicia to it all somehow being forgotten then all of a sudden it's there Again?

Why do they all stand so close to eachother all the time. Everyone..

And all the breathing... Why do they all breathe so much

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 29/10/2017 23:17

I’m loving The Good Fight. Diane was always the best thing in The Good Wife (along with crazy little Kalinda and Judge Abernathy). I rejoiced when boring, pouty Will died. Of Alicia’s romances, only the relationship with Peter felt plausible to me. There was zero chemistry between her and Finn, Jason was a cartoon strong, silent type with disturbing teeth and Will was a tiresome brat.

Gileswithachainsaw · 29/10/2017 23:27

Love kalinda!

In a world of stiff suits and heels. I'd be a kalinda.

Tartyflette · 29/10/2017 23:37

Kalinda was awesome. So enigmatic. (and love how she rocked an American accent.)
Who is the actor (the assistant DA) who was also in Downton?
I'm also loving The Good Fight especially the on-off relationship between Luca (also a Brit) and the prosecutor (Justin Bartha)

MargotLovedTom1 · 29/10/2017 23:43

I agree Something - she had the best chemistry with Peter. Diane and her necklaces were the best characters (and also agree re Judge Abernathy - I loved him, especially when he had to wear his prescription sunglasses in court and fancied himself as a rock star Grin).
I might have to watch them all over again.

MargotLovedTom1 · 29/10/2017 23:44

Finn was played by Matthew Goode. Handsome but just slightly chinless.
