To ask what is the most outrageous/audacious/assertive thing you have done in public (not sex)?

I was once at a concert and the couple directly in front of me were conspicuously snogging, fondling and groping each other. I put up with this for quite a while before I snapped at them to please save the foreplay until they got home. The bloke glared at me repeatedly for the rest of the concert, muttering about how rude I was.

Anyone else?

Two blokes with their children we making snippy comments at each other on a crowded bus. The tension was ramping up and up. I channelled Joyce Grenfell's school teacher and told them both to stop it, that no one wanted to listen to them arguing etc. They both shut up.
(I suspect that they both wanted to stop the situation but couldn't think of a way without losing face so that is why I got away with intervening)
