‘My god girl- You’re pregnant.’

Said by a Dr to a 14 year old me.

Two for me
Your dad is dead.
I'd love to take you to the cinema.
There are some very sad sentences here.

‘I meant to do it’ my dad in hospital after trying to take his life. It changed everything but unbelievably it changed it for the better for us all.

‘Do you love him?’ A simple question from a lovely mner which changed my life and helped me walk away from 12 years of abuse.

These are all so sad. Powerful words 💐

Policeman banging on my door to tell my my brother had hung himself

"She's here" said to me after 6 years of fertility treatment and miscarriages. My amazing Dd. I struggle to recall the ivf and all the treatments now, even though we went through years of it. All I think about is how she is here and how she changed my life.

I don't want to be married to you anymore from my EXH devastating at the time, now the best thing that has happened to me.

I am not sure this is a viable pregnancy (it wasn't) devastating

Look there is a heartbeat amazing both times I heard that one!

Fathers ex-partner rang, 24/2/13 10.18am after I'd tried to call him.

"somethings happened to your dad, hes gone, he killed himself last night".

2 days before that was the first time I ever verbally told him I loved him. I hadn't seen him in two months. I said I'd ring him on the night he died but I forgot. I've never forgiven myself or been the same since.

2 sentences “we need to get this baby out now” as they rushed me to theatre. I delivered a beautiful baby girl, just a traumatic birth

And

You need to come now, it’s going to be today. The nurses, warning me my dad was going to die. He did, 10 minutes after I arrived

Look there's the heartbeat

Said to me by the sonographer at the early pregnancy unit when I thought I was having a miscarriage. He is now a strapping 16 year old who I may have to now go and give a hug to before bed which he will just about tolerate.

I'm not coming back, the thought of coming home fills me with dread

My ex via a telephone conversation when he was working away from home for a year.

"Don't waste another ovulation on that man"
Said to me by a wise woman when I told her about my ill-advised affair with a much older man when really I wanted to meet someone and have babies. Threw him to the kerb and haven't looked back!

In an email from my mother, the first in 5 years since I'd gone NC

"You're being so unfair to me, you've always been nasty, but to not let me come and look after you now is just cruel"

Up until then I sometimes felt a little guilty about being NC and not letting her into my life... I got that email the day my sister told her I had leukaemia - I was 25.

I no longer have any doubts that being NC is the right thing.

You’re only 23, you’re too young not to meet anyone else.

Said by my 22 year old fiancé as he battled lymphoma. He died a week later on what would have been our wedding day.

Stop worrying about 5 years time, you don’t know what will happen in 5 mins time!

That sentence changed my entire world. But not as much as the two beautiful boys I’ve brought into this world in the 3 years since it was said to me.

My sentence was life changing in such a good way but I can't bring myself to post it now amongst all these tragic stories, I am so sorry that some of you have had such awful things happen to you.
