I’ll start.

‘My god girl- You’re pregnant.’

Said by a Dr to a 14 year old me.

Flowers to everyone.

Marcipex · 20/10/2017 11:47

1namechangedforthis I've pm ed you, please read it x

Sallystyle · 20/10/2017 11:56

'I have two weeks to two months to live'

Said by my ex husband to me.

'I'm sorry, there is nothing more they can do, your dad is dying' (Said nicer than that IRL) was the sentence that changed our children's lives.

Thanks to everyone.

LuluJakey1 · 20/10/2017 12:04

'So, might you fancy going out for a drink or something, sometime ......like tomorrow'. DH first time we met.

'It's positive Lu, look. Yes!' DH as he jumped round our bathroom with a pregnancy test after realising I had missed a period a month ago (we were on holiday and it bypassed me) . We were both delighted if a bit shocked as DS was not planned.

QuinionsRainbow · 20/10/2017 12:12

"Yes" (they say "no" is a complete sentence, so "yes" must be as well.
My response to DHs proposal.

Yogagirl123 · 20/10/2017 12:50

“I am sorry, you have Multiple Sclerosis” didn’t hear much else of what my Neurologist said that night.

ACurlyWurly · 20/10/2017 12:54

No one else would want you, you are damaged goods

Do you even want to be married to me any more? - to me by my abusive ExW after another episode

What if I told you I like you more than just friends? - said by me to my friend who is now my incredible DW

dailydance · 20/10/2017 12:55

“No one will ever want you”. Stuck with me for over 20 years and thus far proven accurate.

missperegrinespeculiar · 20/10/2017 13:00

"daddy is never coming back, is he, mummy?" 5 years old me to my mother, he never did.

"we are making you an offer, and it will be a good offer!" from one of the top universities in the world

"I am sorry, this pregnancy is no longer viable" at 16 weeks

"it's a boy!" twice!

Bluelonerose · 20/10/2017 13:02

"Why did you tell dh that's what happened?" Ended my marriage when I realised.

honeysucklejasmine · 20/10/2017 13:04

"I'm well versed in tea and sarcasm" was written on my American now-husband's OLD profile. I laughed, messaged him and we married 14 months later.

"Your brother has hurt his neck" turned out to be a high level permanent spinal injury which has changed all our lives.

humpbackwhale · 20/10/2017 13:15

"our aim is to cure it"

said by a haematology registrar shortly after i was diagnosed with leukaemia

SnorkellingCat · 20/10/2017 13:17

"I'm not supposed to say this, but I don't think this is what you want"

Said by a lovely nurse at the termination clinic I went to when 9 weeks pregnant. She was right, I didn't want a termination, and I didn't go through with it and now have a gorgeous 2 year old DD.

Welwyncitydweller · 20/10/2017 13:27

Mine is nothing on a par with the terrible tragedy that other pp’s have experienced. But I was talking to a work friend about my EA marriage and she said “I used to work with a funny, vibrant, spontaneous woman who was full of life but she changed. The worse thing is her son has never met that funny, vibrant woman”. That girded me into leaving and I wish I’d heard it sooner

CuppaSarah · 20/10/2017 13:31

You're not inherently broken, you have OCD and OCD can be treated.

I cried my eyes out when told this. It was the biggest breakthrough I ever had. Knowing I wasn't broken I was sick meant I could get better. And I have. I have control over my life for the first time in my 27 years.

NameChange1989 · 20/10/2017 13:34

"Don't worry, I cleaned you up after."

Upon waking up after passing out drunk during a night out with my new boyfriend, and discovering that he had anally raped me in my sleep.

HouseholdWords · 20/10/2017 13:40

I don't love you. I can't marry you.

You really can be ill from a broken heart.

BubbaLips · 20/10/2017 13:43

the biopsy showed you have cancer.

2 years ago i am proud to say i am now in remission

ephemeralfairy · 20/10/2017 13:45

'I'm afraid he died'
My mum to me aged 9 when my dad died.

FusionChefGeoff · 20/10/2017 13:45

If you don’t take the first drink, you can’t get drunk.

A breakthrough moment for me in AA very early recovery

tumbletastic · 20/10/2017 13:45

She has epilepsy, don't look it up in the Internet or you will frighten yourself.
(dd was 4 months old and suffered seizures suddenly and without warning for 6 weeks straight and still does suffer with seizures.)

She is severely delayed, has hypermobility and gdd (dd 18 months. I always knew it but everyone told me she was fine!)

She has microcephaly (again dd now 2.5 years)

If you had a normal baby then this one would learn from them (dd 3 years old, said by health visitor )

Your daughter is functioning on a 2 to 3 years old level (dd now 8 years old)

I never get used to the shit that healthcare professionals say.

tumbletastic · 20/10/2017 13:47

Oh and your daughter has a duplication on her chromosome it's PCDH19. At 4 years old being given a diagnosis, one of the worst moments of my life .

Swissgemma · 20/10/2017 13:49

Can we do one more round? I’m not ready to say no more.

Dh to me about the fifth round of ivf. I was so finished and wanted my life back. The fifth round was the one that worked and gave us ds.

DollyLlama · 20/10/2017 13:53

"Dolly, I have never done ANYTHING wrong in my life"

Said by my mother when I was trying to salvage our broken relationship and asked her to admit some fault along with me for the problems we had.

Now NC and utterly heartbroken she will never meet the grandson I'm due to have in 3 weeks Sad you just can't reason with a narcissist.

DancingDragon · 20/10/2017 13:58

You've got less than a year to live. 6 weeks later dh was gone.
