The mom outside school today who said to her 3-year old: "Move it! Fuckin' hell, why are you so slow!"

Skinny jeans on men.

I like men in buns! But leggings worn as trousers by anyone above a size 4 - noooo! Grey pony tails on balding men are pretty horrible too. Not to mention the expression 'from the get go'. When did this become acceptable English? And don't get me started on their, when people mean they're, or overuse of the apostrophe in it's.

cleofatra · 19/06/2018 18:24

Men with long hair, ponytails, buns, the lot.
Clown Brows.
The "quirky" older lady look - pixie cut, big glasses, colourful scarf.
Brown Buffets.
Anything nouveau chav - glittery furniture, crushed velvet and the like.
People who say "them horses over there". Obviously not always about horses.
People who drive up your backside.
Crappy food at cafes.
Crappy coffee.
I have so many more.

FTRT · 19/06/2018 18:29

Loose = baggy knickers. Do people really not know the difference between loose and lose?

Hun. HATE that word.

Defiantly when they mean DEFINITELY.

Cheapskates customers in charity shops - it is a CHARITY shop not a damn carboot.

People saying 'far' right when there is actually no such thing.....unlike 'far' left.

haverhill · 19/06/2018 18:36

People who write ect when they mean etc.
Thick fake eyebrows.
Those popular buns worn on the very top of the head. Unless very slim with beautiful cheekbones, they make most people look like sumo wrestlers.
Long, grubby nails .

Somethingsfallendown · 19/06/2018 18:37

Anyone who watches Love Island, XF , BGT and BB.

Fake tan, false eyelashes, boob implants.

feellikeanalien · 19/06/2018 18:44

Bekindtoall78 · 19/06/2018 18:53

Saying 'text-ies'
It's texts. Plural.
Not a combination of 'texts' and 'testes' Confused

Iputthescrewinthetuna · 19/06/2018 18:57

When people mean 'drown' but they say 'drowned' instead.
E.g 'I thought I was going to drowned'

Whereismumhiding2 · 19/06/2018 19:03

Oooh, I like this thread, can someone out up a part 2 thread? Sorry if I've missed it.
My "no no no!" is currently
to volume of school emails. 22 emails this week, 26 previous week. (Whilst I love love both DC's schools, I think 3 emails alone in 2 weeks on Wear Yellow AOK day & previous instructions on Acts Of Kindness week is a possible overegg!)

Also "no no no!" to MNs who comment in an agro way without RTFT & OP updates (says she who scanread this one Grin)

Mountainsoutofmolehills · 19/06/2018 19:05

poolshoes with socks worn by people who don't have pools. It's silly.

People that say 'awesome', 'like', 'doyanahwahtimeeen'.

That mother that used the portable potty for her kid to do the do in mid aisle.

Abandoned · 19/06/2018 19:05

People who say 'rum' instead of room

The word 'Delicious' said by anybody

Petalflowers · 19/06/2018 19:06

That# so true about kissing.

missfoster · 19/06/2018 19:07

@LostInShoebiz are you Scottish or Irish? Or from the West Country.

People with rhotic accents will pronounce draws and drawers differently as they pronounce the r at the end of a syllable, but most English accents will not make this distinction.

Neither is wrong! Just different pronunciations like bath/baaaath

NumbersLetters · 19/06/2018 19:08

'Text' when used as a past tense verb.

Teacher21 · 19/06/2018 19:10

People saying "it's discusting" does anyone really think thats what the word is???
