To Ask Which Supermarket Has The Best Staff?

For me I find Sainsbury's to be around the best, quite a young crowd but don't think I've had an issue.

I dislike the staff at our ASDA Superstore, always standing around in groups and gossiping about something or other, it's really strange and shows how poor the management is.

The Staff at Aldi and Lidl just seem to be super busy all the time.

Surely this is completely area dependent?

Or given the amount of shift changes in supermarkets, completely hour dependent.

Waitrose. Always happy to help and friendly.

Asda are the cheeriest around here. I'm a supermarket tart so I go to all of them.

No, just had a few weird/unpleasant experiences in ASDA is all.

All the staff in supermarketscwhere I live are good.

What difference does it make anyway?
Surely you use a supermarket because they have products that you want at a price you want to pay?

It makes a difference but I don't bother going to ASDA anymore.

My love Waitrose. I suspect it's a combination of it being a good company to work for and good local management.
As for my local Asda, there seem to be so few staff in there! They all look stressed, probably because they're expected to do the work of 4 people on minimum wage.

Don't go to ASDA often, but always find the staff there really good. I get the impression that they are very well trained.

How can anyone answer that question? All branches of all supermarkets are different, so what if my local Asda is brilliant and yours is rubbish.

Sainsbury's TU staff are always much more helpful than Tesco F+F round here.

Yes, surely it depends a lot on the management of a particular store?
So my local Boots is pants, the Boots a bit further away is amazing. So helpful and such brilliant service.

Staff at my local Asda are lovely and very helpful.

Aldi cause they are faster and chat less

I find Sainsbury the best (although when they show you where stuff is, they walk incredibly fast!)
The worst has to be Tesco. Their customer service is so appalling/non-existent I refuse to spend my money in their any more.

Except the one who told me off for bagging items at the till. "That's not the Aldis way!" Still something lovable about her, somehow.

The Morrisons here is absolutely dire. The manager is about 5, never anyone at customer services but hardly anyone on the tills either so I don't know where they are congregate. They're otherwise unemployable and we only do Morrisons in emergencies.

Our Sainsbury’s employs many people with a vast range of learning disabilities, and they are wonderful at their jobs and so friendly to chat to.

Iceland

Not Tesco, I've had various comments from staff, about me going in there everyday "you're in here more than me" & comments about my bargain hunting, Including from the manager. Staff sniggering and snide little comments/eye rolls at each other.

I live 5 minutes away, the bus from work stops outside their store, they have overtaken all the smaller shops in my area, resulting in them closing down and they even introduced a pound section, when a Poundland opened nearby, which shut 6 months later, as a result of not being able to compete.

But no the staff, who obviously don't live locally are puzzled and amused that people people shop in their store everyday, regardless of the fact their company killed all the locally owned/run businesses shops, cafe's, hairdressers, shoesmith as they are all in store & it keeps them in a job!

So rude and insulting really- I now go to the nearest town centre and do my shopping at a couple of town centre supermarkets to avoid the comments.

@ScaryMary81 How rude, Tesco workers commenting on you going in there a lot. What's it got to do with them how often you're there? And surely it's a good thing that you go in there a lot. Idiots!

Sainsburys are OK, but the best ones IMO are ASDA. Always seem like they enjoy being there. Waitrose are nice too. I don't shop there much and only pop in for a paper or a bottle of water or some milk 2 or 3 times a month, but they are always nice. Lidl and Aldi staff are nice too - often under 30 and very chatty... and very fast at serving people.

Tesco workers are the grumpiest IMO, especially the women who are 45 to 60. And the dot com people knock me flying sometimes, and don't even acknowledge I am there. Even on the checkout, the staff look like they hate their life.

Not overkeen on Morrison's staff or Iceland's; Like Tesco, they are often middle aged women who look like they hate their life, or like they have been forced into the job by the DWP.
