Scrotus is my 'name of choice' as it fits him so well. He's nothing but a big ol' baw bag. Although that's an insult to scrotums as at least they produce something helpful to humanity.

I feel so horrible for the poor families of those killed. Can you imagine the pressure put on them to take a call from that pile of shit?

Brandon Friedman‏
@BFriedmanDC

  1. Let's talk for a minute about "he knew what he signed up for."
  2. There's often a misconception among non-veterans that service members sign up with the expectation that they may die.
  3. I did two tours in combat as an infantry officer and I never met a soldier who thought dying was a reasonable result of their service.
  4. Take the numbers: Since 9/11, roughly 1 out of every 5,000 troops to serve in Iraq or Afghanistan died there.
  5. I'll say that again: 1. Out of every 5,000. Dying in combat is neither common nor expected.
  6. But when things do get dicey, troops expect leaders (at every level) to do everything in their power to keep death from happening.
  7. Take roadside bombs. When they began killing U.S. troops, President Bush never said, "they knew what they signed up for."
  8. Instead, DoD designed MRAPs. It was a concerted effort to keep more people from getting killed unnecessarily.
  9. And that's what keeps troops going. The knowledge that your life is valuable. That it's not to be wasted. That air support is inbound.
10. Today we say, "I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy." 11. It's long been a thing in the U.S. military. Here's how Robert Heinlein characterized it in his 1959 military classic Starship Troopers: Besides that, you knew with utter and absolute certainty that, as long as you were still alive, the Lieutenant would not get into the retrieval boat without you. 12. After a KIA, no one in the military ever, EVER, says "he knew what he signed up for." Instead they reflect. 13. "What could we have done differently? How could we have prevented this from happening?" No one shrugs death off as an inevitability. 14. So when we have a Commander in Chief respond to a combat death with, "he knew what he signed up for," it tells us a few things. 15. First, it tells us the President has no idea how the military works or what his role and responsibilities are. 16. More importantly, it sends this message to troops: If you're looking for support from the White House, you know what you signed up for.

"One contract provided IRA with ways to monitor social media and a 'system of automized promotion in search engines.'
...
"Another former employee, interviewed anonymously by the independent Russian TV network RAIN this week, said: 'There was a goal -- to influence opinions, to lead to a discussion. ... There was a strategy document. It was necessary to know all the main problems of the United States of America. Tax problems, the problem of gays, sexual minorities, weapons.'

"The former employee said the mission was to 'get into the dispute yourself to fire it up, try to rock the boat.' He gave an example: 'It was necessary to write that sodomy is a sin. This would always get you a couple of dozen likes.'

"He said IRA made its employees watch the US TV series 'House of Cards' to improve their English.

"Not unlike the fictional White House of Frank Underwood, Savchuk says, 'The atmosphere there reminded me of some anti-utopian Gulag.'"

Facebook and Google Helped Anti-Refugee Campaign in Swing States

The big tech companies worked closely with Secure America Now to target an audience the group felt could be swayed by the message.

www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-10-18/facebook-and-google-helped-anti-refugee-campaign-in-swing-states

In the final weeks of the 2016 election campaign, voters in swing states including Nevada and North Carolina saw ads appear in their Facebook feeds and on Google websites touting a pair of controversial faux-tourism videos, showing France and Germany overrun by Sharia law. French schoolchildren were being trained to fight for the caliphate, jihadi fighters were celebrated at the Arc de Triomphe, and the “Mona Lisa” was covered in a burka.

“Under Sharia law, you can enjoy everything the Islamic State of France has to offer, as long as you follow the rules,” intoned the narrator of one ad.

Unlike Russian efforts to secretly influence the 2016 election via social media, this American-led campaign was aided by direct collaboration with employees of Facebook and Google. They helped target the ads to more efficiently reach the intended audiences, according to internal reports from the ad agency that ran the campaign, as well as five people involved with the efforts.

Facebook advertising salespeople, creative advisers and technical experts competed with sales staff from Alphabet Inc.’s Google for millions in ad dollars from Secure America Now, the conservative, nonprofit advocacy group whose campaign included a mix of anti-Hillary Clinton and anti-Islam messages, the people said.

The content of some ads left some employees of Harris Media—the Austin-based digital advertising firm that runs campaigns for Secure America Now—feeling uneasy. “It was designed to strike fear in people’s hearts,” said one former Harris employee who requested anonymity.

The extent to which Facebook and Google work with political campaigns and groups hasn’t been widely understood. On Oct. 8, 60 Minutes aired an interview with the Trump campaign’s digital director saying he had Facebook employees work as “embeds” in the campaign who were selected for being Republicans. Facebook said its services for Trump were standard for any advertiser during an important event.

He’s just plain lazy. He doesn’t want hard work, hard service and hard questions. He wants easy, adulation and golf.

Lweji · 18/10/2017 16:36

But even if he wanted an easy job, he could just sit quietly in his office, open a few buildings and roads, build a golf course at the back of the WH (I'm sure there's one in Washington) and sign whatever comes his way.
The problem is that he is also an angry man who likes conflict.
