Inspired by another thread Wink
and because there is a lot of negative stuff about people's partners on here

I love that my DH can make me laugh so much and completely turn my mood around when I have had a bad day.

I love that he is so good at DIY - and has spent nearly every weekend for months doing our house up for the arrival of our first child (due in November) while constantly telling me to put my feet up Grin

I love that he is charming, charismatic, straight talking and very talented Smile

Anyone else?

oh, and he is bloody amazing with his hands in every way you can think of! 😉

BeachyKeen · 16/10/2017 20:06

He really listens to me. He is thoughtful, and knows me as well as I know myself, yet somehow still likes me! May he never wise up x

I would usually moan about my husband mainly because he works full time and going college 4 full days and is awake 48 hour once a week I have no help with DD and I do everything in house and work so I see him 3min before I go to work and 3 min when I get home he doesn’t have any days off a week but really I appreciate the fact that he is a very hard working man who occasionally buys me flowers for no reason other than he loves me also surprised me last week with a Costa and cake before he walked like zombie to bed

Maelstrop · 16/10/2017 20:24

He goes above and beyond. He did some jobs today that he knew I would rather not, despite being shattered.

BonjourMeDarlin · 16/10/2017 20:29

He’s a good dad.
He puts us first.
He says I am slim and beautiful (I resemble a potato really).
He just gets me and I feel like he’s my other half.
He’s not weird and so am I.
He listens to me talk about random crap like dreams I had or stories from years ago and looks interested.
If I cook it tastes rubbish and he’s like mmmmm that was nice Grin

My DH does many things that I love him for but one of the things that I love him for the most and will be forever grateful to him for, is that he taught me how to have an argument like a mature adult and to understand that we may argue and still be secure in our relationship and love each other. Thanks to my DH I am much more emotionally mature than I was before meeting him and frankly a better person.

Viewofhedges · 16/10/2017 20:45

He is kind. He believes in me and in us. He is intelligent, funny, and distinguished. He makes me laugh and champions me. He shows me daily that he loves me. He makes me a better person.

Spider catching is a really big deal on this thread. So many brave men out there defending us from the leggy bastards.

Misslu · 16/10/2017 21:57

He ALWAYS puts my happiness before his own.

He works so hard just for our family, and never complains about working 14, 12 hour days.

He tells me he loves me and that I am beautiful every day, even if I feel shit he will always tell me how beautiful I am without being prompted.

He is terrible at DIY but tries so hard to do it.

He’s would help anyone out at the drop of a hat, without even a second thought.

He trusts me 100000% even though I’ve done things that makes me not trust worthy.

He is so generous with money.

He does housework without complaining.

I literally wouldn’t be the person I am today without him ❤️

DH is a big giant of a man with few words. Children and animals are drawn to him.
He is kind and funny. He loves me and listens to me moaning. He can be an absolute tool at times but I can't believe I have such a lovely family. I had such a rocky start to life that I should be living in a squat but together we have made a life and a home and a family.
He loves the cat despite never wanting one and he cuts the dogs hair for him when he gets scruffy. Then the Labrador gets a little jealous so he pretends to cut her hair for her too with the scissors so she isn't left out!

Pregosaurus · 17/10/2017 02:53

My DP gets a lot of eye rolling from our friends because he is not the world’s most modern man (to put it mildly..!).

I always laugh inside tho, because to me he is perfect. Wonderful father, never wants to do anything more than spend time with his family, great sense of humour, so gorgeous I get a funny feeling every day when he gets home from work, amazing in bed and endlessly generous with everything he has. For everything else, we have a cleaner 😉

DH goes to the convenience shop on the corner for some bits and bobs and comes back with a beautiful bunch of flowers for me when I was not expecting it at all Smile

Looks after me: fills the car with petrol every Sunday so I don’t even have to think about it, checks the tyre pressure, checks the car is not out of water etc.

Puts my phone on charge for me.

Lets me have some of his takeaway, although I told him I didn’t want any food.

Pampers me and spoils me, always says to me: “Go on, treat yourself!”

Works extra hard so I can stay at home and look after our children.

I am so so lucky to have him!

Arrowfanatic · 18/10/2017 18:23

He works long hours in a thankless job always trying to better his rank to provide the best he can for our family.

Will go to the shop even in the cold and wet to sate my cravings.

Always offers to make me food/drinks even though he eats a massively different (read healthier) diet to me.

Always tells me I'm beautiful even when I have 3 day unwashed hair and my sweats on and I know he proper fancies even even with the post baby belly.

Supports my obsession with my martial arts and is my biggest cheerleader.

Will take the children out when he can see my patience is gone.

Never questioned me deciding to quit my job to be a Sahm and even when I tell him I spent my day slobbing on the sofa watching tv and not cleaning our shit hole house he'll tell me I deserve to chill out as i do so much already I really dont

He's my protector and looks hot in his work uniform !!!!! Grin
