I got a photo of the car as they pulled away. They dumped a load of heavy orange netting on the pavement - in exactly the location where lots of stuff gets dumped.

Angry

Some councils have ways for you to report it. I know my old council has a map showing where fly tipping has been reported and some have pictures.

I’d report them because things like this really piss me off. It’s so lazy and anti social

ReasonableLlama · 13/10/2017 13:59

Sorry I should say, the map was on their website. If you go to he Council website they should have a bit about how to report fly tipping

Ttbb · 13/10/2017 14:01

Definitely report it, if nothing else then at least it will get cleaned up,

Yes report it - ring council and tell them you have a photo of the vehicle pulling away from the location

wonkylegs · 13/10/2017 14:03

If you google 'report it' and your council name then you should get the right place to contact & report it.

The only way to stop these things is to not sit back and let them happen.

LoniceraJaponica · 13/10/2017 14:05

Please do report them. We have a number of beauty spots round here that people use for fly tipping and it really annoys me.

It is unsightly
It is dangerous to wildlife
They are too lazy/tight to take it to the tip and deserve to be fined ££££

GoodyGoodyGumdrops · 13/10/2017 14:25

Done.

For future reference, there is also 'Fix My Street' which allows you to put photos on there so that others can see them, and also sends a report to the council.

YNBU. The switchboard will usually take you through to the number you need.

TheMaddHugger · 13/10/2017 14:42

Oi. It's late/early friday night here and given the Wine I thought you said 'Cow tipping'

Super relieved to find no cows were harmed

GoodyGoodyGumdrops · 13/10/2017 14:54

(Brew-snort! Too early for Winehere) What is cow tipping?

OP posts:
TheMaddHugger · 13/10/2017 15:00

Cow tipping is the purported activity of sneaking up on any unsuspecting or sleeping upright cow and pushing it over for entertainment.

^^ straight copy and past from google.

I do not agree nor partake in Cow tipping. It's not nice to cows

cheers, I'll have one [or more] for you 🍷🍷🍷

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 13/10/2017 15:05

Well done OP!

I've previously reported someone to the police for weeing in my neighbours yard, onto their door, in full view of the street, in the middle of a Saturday, with children walking past. I took a picture of him (mid stream) and his van. He wasn't happy, but it's the only way they'll learn.

TheMaddHugger · 13/10/2017 15:07

Yes, Well Done OP. I salute you 🍷🍷🍷

Have another, Don't mind if I do.

Seriously Tho You Did Good Cake

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 13/10/2017 15:07

Also my local council definitely prosecutes fly tippers, and publishes their details in the Name-and-Shame section of the local paper. They have a hotline for ratting them in.
