If you want to actually get rid of them you do need to kill them, and keep killing them. Anyone using humane methods will be keeping mice forever.

ZoopDragon · 13/10/2017 19:20

That's a rat!

Get pest control to sort it out for you.

LadyDeadpool · 13/10/2017 19:26

It's a mouse - Rat tail (and giant bollocks) for comparison

JollyGusty · 13/10/2017 19:30

That looks like a young rat to me.

LadyDeadpool · 13/10/2017 19:31

Sorry that's a terrible photo
Baby rat - I think she was 7 weeks here
and adults

You can see the tails and the faces are different.

We swear by those electronic, mains operated Pestbye things. We've been plagued by mice in our old cottage for years. One night I was sitting on the sofa and I saw a mouse's tail down the gap in the ceiling beam - I nearly had a fit. We've been putting these electronic things in the roof space for a few years now and guess what - no mice!!! They're absolutely brilliant. You do need to start using them early in the season though, before they start coming in. It just seems to deter them.
