WIBU to just turn up at her house?

I am adopting a cat from a lady who no longer wants him.

I have all her address etc and am going at 3pm. Have asked to change to 1pm and haven't got a reply in 4 days now.

Would it be ok to still turn up at 3pm?

He's gorgeous OP.

I've never seen a cat with a face like that before! Looks grumpy but so lovely. Love his brown coat as well.

Someone said that he looks like a Burmese. Does anyone know definitely what breed he is- if he is one?

Raven69351 · 12/10/2017 17:29

You've done a wonderful thing OP.

SpartaTheGreat · 12/10/2017 17:37

Such a beautiful boy! He needs his dreamies ASAP Grin So glad he ended up with you and am sure you'll give him a happy new home where he's cherished.

ShotsFired · 12/10/2017 17:41

Hope she isn't a MNer or you have no hope of her opening the door at all! GrinWink

(Seriously- gorgeous boy, I am sure he will have a fantastic life with you!)

DavetheCat2001 · 12/10/2017 17:42

Aww poor puss..he does look really sad..BUT he is also an incredibly lucky puss to have found you!

Once he settles in he'll probably behaviour than he ever was is his previous home Flowers

DavetheCat2001 · 12/10/2017 17:43

probably be happier....

Jux · 12/10/2017 17:43

What a handsome chap. I'm sure that you'll adore each other in no time. How lovely to be able to help someone out and get such a reward all in one go!

Good luck xx

velvetdr · 12/10/2017 17:44

Ahh thanks all. He's brown :)

I know he does look quite sad but he seems comfy on the sofa.

I have owned rescues before, but haven't had one in a little while as started rescuing guinea pigs. No longer have any, so I'm so pleased I've got him.

Awwwww

I really don't think he's a Burmese though.

MadMags · 12/10/2017 17:45

He's gorgeous! And Phoenix is a great name.

Any chance of more pictures? He's beautiful! Well done.

Jux · 12/10/2017 17:49

In that photo, he looks a bit wary, but fairly relaxed. His whiskers aren't on 'full alert' and though his ears are slightly flattened, his body isn't that tense. Is he purring? If you're worried that he's not getting more relaxed over the next few days you could put butter on the top of his paw - my mum read an article (years ago) which said that when they wash they release something like seratonin (or it might have been actually seratonin) which relaxes them and then they're more open to settling in the place they're in.

I've done it with mine when I've moved, but am not sure whether they settled due to the butter or due to all furniture and stuff and people smelling the same.

JemimaLovesHamble · 12/10/2017 17:49

He's beautiful, so striking!

Jux · 12/10/2017 17:52

Oh! Blush x-post! I see you're very experienced in rescuing. I'll shut up now!

What a lovely chap! I've always wanted a brown, and a grey. Phoenix suits him. Great name!

@Jux all info is fab, I've only had a few rescue cats and that was after they had been in foster homes, so slightly different.

Mobile vet is coming out tomorrow (he's fab) Smile and so he'll be all checked over then and I'm not good at guessing ages at all in animals, so hopefully, he can help with that too.

Is his name Ser Bournville? Because it really should be.

LEM

You work with cats? As an actual job?

CornedBeef451 · 12/10/2017 20:32

I have just adopted these two. They seem to have settled in well, hope Phoenix does too.
